Big brother in training

Last Christmas Nana got Lincoln a baby so we have been using the baby a lot lately during play time. I totally consider it a training tool for baby number two!
So today we made a bed for the baby in Lincoln's wagon and practiced putting the baby to sleep.

Lincoln has about ten blankets that he is obsessed with which is nice because he can have any one of the ten and be completely happy, anyways, Linc refers to them as "keys". So during "big brother in training" time we laid the baby down and I told Linc to give the baby a "keys" so he could sleep...it took me a long time to realize Linc thought I was telling him to give the baby a "kiss" haha. So cute!

Here it is!

There have been many requests to see videos of Lincoln "talking". He does actually say a lot of REAL words but since he was ten months old he has been talking like this...and NO I have no idea what he's saying.

This last one is my absolute favorite!!! Lincoln laughs every time he watches it. He'll watch the first two videos but he replays this last one over and over.

Lincoln's first bubble bath!

Mr. Bubbles makes a gentle bubble bath which is amazing! At first Lincoln didn't want to put his legs in it

Then he didn't know how to get the bubbles off his hands

After awhile he was in heaven and wouldn't even look up for a picture

Finally after about half an hour this is the closest thing to a smile I could get, and yes, he only posed long enough for one shot. Please notice the bubbles are almost gone at this point!

All in all I would say it was a major success and he has asked for bubbles nonstop ever since.

Sleeping

Some of the funniest stories we have are from checking on Lincoln before we go to bed. One time I walked in to check on him about 2 hours after he fell asleep and he was sitting up in bed with his eyes wide open just staring at nothing. It kind of creeped me out to be honest so I told him to go to sleep and he laid down and went right to sleep. Well, a few days ago Thomas and I went in together to check on him and this is what we found...

That can't be comfortable! On a completely opposite topic I have to point out I have a pretty cheap camera but this picture was taken in the dark. I'd say I got my money's worth!

Lincoln is a Secor boy!!

Lincoln had surgery awhile ago and to help him recover Jimmy and Kira got him the best toy ever! He didn't realize how great of a toy it really was until recently. It's a ball and a glove but the glove has velcro to help him catch. Side note, please notice his balled up fist inside the glove, we haven't perfected his grip yet...

We play with it all day long and when we're not playing catch he still watches tv with it on. This boy is a true Secor!

Petting zoo

Last weekend we went with Jimmy, Kira, and Jordan to the Salt Lake County Fair which was sadly a big let down but they did have a pretty cool petting zoo.

My brother-in-law Greg is awesome!

Just saying...

But here are some pictures of Lincoln following in Daddy's footsteps.
